London and Local

This first group of images was taken at the London Wetlands Centre, Barnes, earlier this month.  You can see that it was a frosty morning with bright sunshine.

Black Swan

Egyptian Goose

Robin

Cormorant

Shoveler ♂

Blue-winged Goose

Sticking together

Big Bird (courtesy of British Airways) going into London Heathrow

Grey Heron

The remainder were taken a locally at Stourhead, Wiltshire.

The frequency of damp, dark days prompted me to take a flash-gun when I was exploring the woodland edges.  These images were by way of experimentation.

Robin

"Hark!"

This Blackbird allowed me 3 frames and then he was off.

Neptune

Unknown Goddess

Well, unknown to me!  These statues are in a grotto in the Stourhead Estate gardens.

Marsh Tit

Coal Tit

Who's your friend  –  Blue Tit?

The last two images were taken at a little feeding-station next to the kiosk at one of the entrances to the gardens.

Back to Stourhead ...

... as promised.

Firstly, some general images in the gardens.

Great Crested Grebe ...

... going for gold

Mute Swan

Nuthatch

Great Tit

Marsh Tit

Have I left anything?

The remainder are images taken in the poorer light of the shrubbery.  There is a stone on which visitors occasionally place food.  The birds approach in the safety of the bushes before finally darting out to the stone for a titbit.  I tucked myself into the edge of the bushes at a spot where I had a reasonable view of the route taken by these birds.  After a while (and many wasted frames), here are some of the results.
