I visited Rufford Old Hall in Lancashire in March.

Mere Sands Wood

This was my first visit to the Lancashire Wildlife Trust reserve at Mere Sands Wood, Rufford, Lancashire.  It was mid-March and the sunshine had prompted farms in the area to start planting out lettuce.
