There were at least 6 eggs in the nest.

Greylake

This is the sequel to my visit to Shapwick Heath on the Somerset Levels.  Last week I posted photographs from the morning.  This week I'm posting images taken after some lunch at Eco-Friendly Bites (at the Avalon Visitor Centre).

Most of the action at Greylake seemed to be in the car-park.  Since the flooding, the RSPB has put out extra feeding arrangements at the car-park and in the picnic area.  The local Reed Bunting have been taking full advantage since last year.

Once the camera appeared, a Robin presented itself  –  couldn't miss the photo-opportunity!

Eventually, I did manage to tear myself away from the car-park and go along the boardwalks into the reserve proper.

Early afternoon is a quiet time and I went straight to the hide.  It's very comfortable there and a sit down seemed called for.
