Bushy Park, Greater London, is one of the Royal Parks and lies immediately to the north of Hampton Court Palace.
October is the Red Deer (cervus elaphus) rutting season. By getting up at a silly time I was able to be in the park around sunrise. The weather did not produce any of those frosty, misty mornings this year, so I was denied atmospheric images of the sort I managed last year. I visited twice. One day was cloudy, but bright; the other was clear and sunny (with some heavy showers). The lack of strong directional light on the first day made photography a little easier.
Altogether I shot about 500 frames, but I was using 'continuous shoot' most of the time. To avoid shooting wastefully, I set a limit of either 2 or 3 on the number of frames the camera would expose in any one burst.
Here are the images selected for this blog. I have not attempted to impose any order on them. They are presented in the order in which they were taken.
