This week's posting is all about flowers. (But I couldn't resist sneaking in a bee.)
I visited Mottisfont Abbey in Hampshire. This is a National Trust property and is home to the National Collection of old-fashioned roses. All my images were taken in the stunning walled garden there.
I know little about the identity of flowers and didn't have enough hands to write down all the names as I took the photographs. I'm sure that they all did have their names on tags somewhere, but these weren't always too evident. (An assistant would have been useful!) That's why I've decided to let the images tell you their own story. Hence the title this week.
Many of the roses are past their very best, but the perfumes were heavenly. After all, this is not a plant catalogue.
