A visit to «Le forêt des singes» at L'Hospitalet, Rocamadour, Lot, SW France. The park is home to several families of Barbary Macaque – the tail-less monkeys associated with Gibraltar.

This is probably a bite injury. The macaque was painstakingly picking off bits of foreign matter. The flesh looked healthy and seemed to be granulating properly from the bottom of the wound.
