All in a Wiltshire morning

A Sunday morning local trip to Stourhead and then on to Langford Lakes, Steeple Langford.

Have I dropped something?

(a different) Robin

What time is it? (Dandelion seed head)

Mrs

Showing off

Together

Finally, I was lucky enough to spot this newly-fledged Long-tailed Tit.  They're so tricky to photograph normally because they flit around from branch to branch at breakneck speed.  This one was so newly-fledged that it was simply perching and getting its bearings.

Long-tailed Tit

Have you done?

Watching paint dry

I spent about four hours in a hide on Shapwick Heath, Somerset.  I didn't see the Grey Heron catch anything, but it seemed content enough.

Still waiting

Flexing the feathers

Just passing (Moorhen)

It was a peaceful morning.  There were other things to see in the middle- and far-distance, but nothing lending itself to a photograph.   I was ready for my lunch.
