Watching paint dry

I spent about four hours in a hide on Shapwick Heath, Somerset.  I didn't see the Grey Heron catch anything, but it seemed content enough.

Shielding

Minor adjustment

Still waiting

Flexing the feathers

It passes the time

Back to waiting

... and waiting

Keeping up appearances

Relocated

Shake it all about ...

... and more

Pre-flight rousing

... and then off

I filled in the gaps in this 'action' with ...

Morning light (Great Crested Grebe)

Above and below

Pause for reflection

Just passing (Moorhen)

It was a peaceful morning.  There were other things to see in the middle- and far-distance, but nothing lending itself to a photograph.   I was ready for my lunch.
