Stourhead & Gillingham

The first images were taken at the National Trust's Stourhead Estate, Wiltshire, late in January 2017.

The Pantheon as the fog starts to lift

I stopped to speak with two acquaintances and they warned me to watch where I stepped.  This Robin was sitting by my left heel and gazing up at the humans.  It didn't take much to coax it up onto the metal hoop at the side of the path.

'Their' part of the lake was still frozen.

The remaining images were taken whilst I was doing my bit for the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch

Carrion Crow

This Crow is not a regular visitor to my garden and spent its time trying to work out the best way to eat the fat-balls hanging from a cherry tree.
