The images were captured last month on the Somerset Levels.

She was aware of my presence, but seemingly unconcerned. I left before she did. (I never thought I'd ever be saying/writing that.) When I left I'd been photographing her for 50 minutes, during which time she never left the scene. She simply flitted between different perches. Lucky me.
After my lunch at
Eco-Friendly Bites, Avalon Centre, I went to Greylake where some Snipe were almost as obliging. Watch this space.
