Slimbridge (1)

The first of two postings of images taken at the WWT reserve at Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, a month ago.

These are all wild birds taking advantage of the facilities there.

Bewick's Swan

Mislabelled?
(If this is an airport baggage label, I very much doubt that this Siberian tundra bird will be happy to arrive at Pococi, Costa Rica!)

These Tufted Duck were diving under the Swan

The Bewick's Swan had only just started arriving at the time of my visit and there were c40 on site that day.  Reportedly, they had 'taken a break in Estonia' on their passage from Siberia and had not been so late reaching Gloucestershire for about 20 years.
