At the Hawk Conservancy

The visit was at the end of November and I chose a dull weekday with a very light wind.  I calculated that flying would not be hampered by weather and that there would be few people there.  The latter was so there might be greater latitude for photography.  In the event, the morning display had an audience of four.  The presenter abandoned her microphone and joined us.  We sat two on each side of her.

The displays at the Trust are not aimed at photographers, but on such an intimate occasion some flexibility was possible and we got closer to the birds than might normally be the case.  We were able to handle birds not generally available.
