My first visit of the year to the Hawk Conservancy, Weyhill, Hampshire. The birds displaying are mostly the familiar 'faces', but they're very photogenic and always worth revisiting.
Tawny Eagle |
Golden Eagle |
African Fish Eagle |
(coming in for a catch) |
Bald Eagle |
Cinereous Vulture |
Caracara |
Milky Eagle Owl |
Saker Falcon |
('Rousing' before flight) |
Robin |
This wild resident of the reserve was occupying a tree overlooking the falcons' enclosure. Perhaps they keep away the wild raptors that might take a fancy to it.
Snowy Owl |
Mid-February and it was already starting to get too warm in Hampshire to work this bird of the high tundra. (It's all relative, of course!)
Pre-flight briefing (L: Gary; R: Peregrine Falcon) |
Harris's Hawk |
Long-eared Owl |
Siberian Eagle Owl |
Tawny Owl |
