The Hawk Conservancy re-opens

My first visit of the year to the Hawk Conservancy, Weyhill, Hampshire.  The birds displaying are mostly the familiar 'faces', but they're very photogenic and always worth revisiting.

Tawny Eagle

Golden Eagle

African Fish Eagle

(coming in for a catch)

Bald Eagle

Cinereous Vulture

Caracara

Milky Eagle Owl

Saker Falcon

('Rousing' before flight)

Robin

This wild resident of the reserve was occupying a tree overlooking the falcons' enclosure.  Perhaps they keep away the wild raptors that might take a fancy to it.

Snowy Owl

Mid-February and it was already starting to get too warm in Hampshire to work this bird of the high tundra.  (It's all relative, of course!)

Pre-flight briefing  (L: Gary; R: Peregrine Falcon)

Harris's Hawk

Long-eared Owl

Siberian Eagle Owl

Tawny Owl
