Barrington Court Part II

Many scenes in the BBC drama Wolf Hall were filmed at Barrington Court in Somerset.  Barrington Court is a period house owned by the National Trust and an attraction as a set is that it is unfurnished.  Producers can move their props in, film and move out again.

At the time of my visit (August 2015) there was an exhibition of some of the costumes used.

(in the Master Bedroom)

The Master Bedroom was used as the Queen's Chamber, Whitehall.

(in the Library)

The Library was used as Wolsey's Inner Privy Chamber at York Place, Whitehall.

Fireplace, The Great Hall

The Great Hall was used as the Outer Privy Chamber, Whitehall.

I have no idea why this old communal privy-seat is kept in the Calf-pens.

Salisbury Cathedral

I wanted to put a Canon EOS 5DS through some of its paces.  These are some results taken over the course of two days.  All were taken either within the cathedral precinct or immediately outside.
