Barrington Court Part II

Many scenes in the BBC drama Wolf Hall were filmed at Barrington Court in Somerset.  Barrington Court is a period house owned by the National Trust and an attraction as a set is that it is unfurnished.  Producers can move their props in, film and move out again.

At the time of my visit (August 2015) there was an exhibition of some of the costumes used.

The Calf-pens

The Calf-pens featured as Stables at York Place, Whitehall.

I have no idea why this old communal privy-seat is kept in the Calf-pens.
